hey guys!!

I'm in a singing contest called the I factor. it's a contest put on by CNIB. The top 10 get an all expenses paid trip to Ontario where they participate in music workshops and perform live for a spot in the final five. the winner gets to open for Terry Kelly, a juno winning blind musician on one of his concert dates.

The top 10 is based primarily on number of votes but there's a panel of judges that make the final decision. I could really use your help in keeping in the top 10!

you can go to www.theifactor.ca and scroll through the pages. look for "I can't make you love me" Jessica Rathwell. give me a listen and if you like what you hear, please vote! vote as often as you like! voting ends june 30th.

There is a one dollar charge per vote up to five votes for five dollars and then from there it's 20 dollars for 50 votes. I don't think it's right that they're charging, but it is what it is. they accept paypal only.

but if you like what you hear, please vote! it would mean a lot to me to make the top 10, I think I could grately benefit from the training I'd get there and it would be an awesome experience!!!

I hate the fact that they charge for a vote but still good luck.

I know, I don't like it at all either! last year voting was free! I should've entered last year. but thanks!!

Charging might discourage voting and that's not fare to the contestants.

I was thinking the same thing, especially since they're only accepting one payment method. What about those who don't have PayPal? I guess they just can't vote then. Sorry. I really didn't intend for this to be a rant. Best of luck. That will be awesome if you make it to the top ten, or even win.

On a side note, I really hope they'll be more fair than they were on Canadian Idol. Lol.

I know someone who went on American Idal and they weren't so fare. I mean, this guy has perfect pitch but I think it's more about have "the rite look." Hope you make it.

Margorp, that's exactly what I mean about being more fair. Canadian Idol was the same way, more or less.

The industry is going downhill.

society as a whole is mainly focused on looks; that's the issue, I think. if a person's too fat or too skinny, they'll criticize you; so, you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't.
to the original poster, good luck.
